A downloadable game

Welcome to Wienne - a small story-driven RPG with deep lore and charming pixel graphics.

Wienne is unique - you can change the flow of the story at any point in time. Repeatedly.

It will be released on 23 December 2019.

You are here to save Wienne and Zack from a nearly inevitable demise, while learning the wonders of the beautiful land of Caentha. Listen well to what the world has to tell you... Its stories and traditions will be of the utmost importance in the days to come.

Oh, right, back to the demise thing.

Find your path. Build it step by step, learn the consequences of your actions and go beyond what you imagined was possible... Then, and only then, you might stand a chance of making it out alive. Take that as a challenge.

"- ...no, not Myrth Mountain. Not if we can avoid it.

- Can we, though?

- I would have given you specific instructions if I could. You know that.

- My apologies. For how long am I to keep her hidden?

- I... T-the final days are always a blur. I don't know. Just keep her safe until it's all over. And after that - bring her here.

- As you wish.

- Good. Now, go.

- Farewell, Lady. It has been a pleasure.

- Take care of her for me, Jacob. Farewell."

Helllooo

They say it's better late than never, but uh... I am really late. My bad. I actually played this game on steam but I think itch.io comments are more interactable for the game creators so I prefer commenting here.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this game. I noticed on steam that there were a few negative comments (but mostly positive), and I just wanted to say that I thought the concept of the game was very nice, the characters and dialogue were interesting and funny, and I LOVED the feature where you could skip the dialogue you already read without accidentally clicking an option like "take" or "don't take". Basically, I like this game and the lil mechanics :)

The biggest thing that would make this game better would be having a lil bit of background music, but then again that's just my opinion. However, If you were going for a game where it just has sound effects instead of a constant melody then I think you've done a good job.

I am 7 years late to this game, but I am glad that I stumbled upon it. I know my suggestions will not really do anything more since you've definitely moved onto other projects, but regardless, thank you for making this game :]

Also... how do I pronounce the main characters name? I'm an idiot hahaaa

Fun ! How many endings are there ? I managed to find about 5 ;-)

First key pressed was left : Trine taught me that there are treasures in the wrong direction XD.

The story is promising and this type of replayable is interesting.

The lighting and design is cool, but something obvious that would really make it better is a walking animation for the main caracter.

It isn't bad for Zack, but as we focus all the time on our own movement, to give ourselves just a 3 frames animation would feel great.

I might have issues with my audio setup, but there was no music or sounds =<. Try adding just a few when interacting or walking ? An ambient wind when in outside areas ?

Apart from that, i am looking for what's to come !

Good luck

Heya! Thanks for checking the game out, and leaving your feedback :)

Yeah, this is an early prototype, so I haven't worked on sounds or character animations yet. New character sprites and 8-frame animations coming soon :)

Haha, great job with treasure hunting! That is about the number of endings there currently is. I am currently working on a feature that will let the player branch the story at any point in time, so there are more things to come :)
